Southern Chicken Chain Bojangles to Open First Michigan Location in Wyoming

Bojangles, the celebrated Southern chicken restaurant chain, is set to make its Michigan debut by the end of 2025.

 

The new establishment will be located at 1730 28th Street SW in Wyoming, a suburb of Grand Rapids.

 

This site previously housed a Taco John's, which closed in September 2024.

 

Renovations are underway to transform the 2,223-square-foot space into a Bojangles restaurant.

 

According to company representatives, the Wyoming location is part of a broader expansion plan that includes 18 new restaurants across eight states by the end of 2025.

 

CEO José Armario expressed enthusiasm about the growth, stating, "This year has already been a landmark for Bojangles, and we're just getting started."

 

Founded in 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bojangles has grown to over 850 locations across 20 states.

 

The chain is renowned for its Southern-style fried chicken, made-from-scratch biscuits, and signature sweet tea.

 

Menu highlights include the Bo's Chicken Sandwich and the eight-piece chicken meal, accompanied by biscuits, sides, and a half-gallon of tea.

 

The Wyoming location will offer these beloved menu items, bringing a taste of the South to Michigan.
