Cereal City's Food Truck Revolution: New Finder Launches—What’s Next for Local Eats?

The new Cereal City Buzz Food Truck Finder is officially live, marking the first public section of the new Cereal City Local directory, and the response to its debut has been exciting.

We introduced the Food Truck Finder last Saturday during the Backyard Burgers & Brews Fest in Battle Creek, Michigan, loading more than 40 participating food trucks into the system.

Festival visitors could pull up the Finder on their phones, browse participating food trucks, narrow down their choices and see where each truck was located at the event.

Hundreds of people used the Food Truck Finder throughout the day, giving us a successful first real-world test of a tool designed specifically to help people discover food trucks in Battle Creek and throughout Calhoun County.

And that was only the beginning.

Now that the festival is over, the Cereal City Buzz Food Truck Finder is transitioning into what it was really designed to become, a daily resource for finding your favorite local food trucks around Battle Creek, Michigan, and Calhoun County.

Local food truck operators can post their weekly locations so customers can quickly see where they will be serving.

The Food Truck Finder is the first of several Cereal City Local Hot Spots beginning to come online for Battle Creek and the surrounding Calhoun County area.

Additional Hot Spots include traveling bands, open houses, happy hour specials, and more.

These sections are designed around things happening right now or on a regular schedule, making it easier for residents and visitors to discover what is happening around Battle Creek without searching through dozens of different websites and social media pages.

We are also opening free Hot Spot pages for church services and support and recovery groups in the Battle Creek area.
