Jack in the Box Coming to Battle Creek: Iconic Fast Food Chain Opens First Location in April

New Capital Avenue restaurant will bring burgers, tacos, and 40-50 jobs to southwest Michigan

Battle Creek food lovers, get ready ... Jack in the Box is officially coming to town.

The iconic fast food chain, known for its quirky mascot and craveable menu, will open its first southwest Michigan location at 2588 Capital Ave. SW in April. This marks a major milestone for the community, which has been waiting for the popular restaurant to arrive.

What can you expect? The full Jack in the Box experience, including their famous burgers, tacos, chicken sandwiches, milkshakes, breakfast items, and late-night snacking options. Whether you're craving a Jumbo Jack at lunch or those addictive tacos at 2 a.m., Battle Creek will soon have you covered.

The new restaurant will feature multiple ways to enjoy your meal: dine-in for those who want to sit down, drive-thru for busy folks on the go, and mobile ordering for the tech-savvy crowd. They'll serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, basically whenever hunger strikes.

This opening is part of a larger expansion across Michigan. The company announced five new locations in the state back in February 2025, with franchisee Niraj Patel leading the charge into the Battle Creek market.

"We will open the first Jack in the Box location in Battle Creek, Michigan," Patel said when announcing the plans. "This is very exciting because we can give our community more food options and help provide 40 to 50 new jobs per location."

Patel isn't new to the area, he's been part of the West Michigan business community for decades, operating a dozen hotels in the region. Now he's expanding into the quick-service restaurant world, bringing a beloved national brand to local residents.

"We have been in our West Michigan community for decades, and we love to see the growth in our community," Patel explained. "We want to expand our hospitality portfolio with the addition of a QSR concept."

The Battle Creek location represents more than just another fast food option. For a community always looking for new dining choices and job opportunities, Jack in the Box delivers both. Those 40 to 50 new jobs will range from crew members to management positions, giving local residents employment options close to home.

Construction is already underway on Capital Avenue, with the restaurant taking shape and preparing for its April debut. While an exact opening date hasn't been announced yet, the countdown is officially on.

For Battle Creek residents who have been driving to other cities to get their Jack in the Box fix, those road trips are about to become a thing of the past. Soon, all it takes is a quick drive down Capital Avenue to satisfy those late-night cravings or grab a quick breakfast before work.

The arrival of Jack in the Box adds to Battle Creek's growing food scene, giving residents another option in the competitive fast-casual market. With its unique menu that blends traditional burgers with those famous tacos, not to mention the milkshakes and breakfast items—it's sure to find its place in the local dining landscape.

Mark your calendars for April, Battle Creek. Jack is coming to town.
