Load A Spud: A Battle Creek Treasure for Fully Loaded Potatoes and More

If you're on the hunt for a unique and hearty meal in Battle Creek, Load A Spud is a delightful find.

 

I recently stopped by and was thoroughly impressed by the creative and delicious takes on the classic baked potato.

 

We tried a few different items, and each one was a winner.

 

The Pizza Potato was a standout, loaded with mozzarella, pepperoni, and I added a touch of jalapeño for a bit of a kick.

 

The garlic butter base gave it a nice Italian twist.

 

My daughter went for the Meat Lovers spud, which was absolutely piled high with all sorts of savory goodness.

 

And we also had an Alfredo Potato that was rich, creamy, and perfect for anyone who loves a good Alfredo sauce.

 

We didn't stop at potatoes, though. We also tried a couple of their tacos.

 

My steak taco was huge and fully loaded, and my daughter’s shrimp taco was packed with shrimp and flavor. At just around $3.75 each, they were an amazing value.

 

I also have to give a special mention to the young lady behind the counter who made our visit even better.

 

She was incredibly friendly and informative, walking us through the menu and making sure we knew all the best options.

 

It’s always nice to see such welcoming service, and it definitely adds to the experience.

 

And to top it off, we noticed a gentleman who had discovered the place just the day before was already back for another round ... definitely a sign of a spot worth returning to.

 

All in all, Load A Spud really delivered on both taste and value, and I can’t recommend them enough.
